Working With a Professional Editor
Whether you’re looking to hire an editor for your writing or interested in picking up freelance editing as a sideline, the Editorial Freelancers Association can give you a boost. The EFA, founded in 1970, is a member organization of freelancers in and around the editorial sphere. This presentation will introduce you to the work of the EFA and the basics of how editorial freelancers and writers collaborate to produce beautifully polished manuscripts.
Asher Rose Fox (they/them) is the Director of Education for the EFA. Prior to joining the EFA team in 2021, they were a staff editor at Publishers Weekly and PCMag, and have edited numerous works of fiction and nonfiction as a freelancer. They live in Brooklyn, New York.
